Let’s celebrate the art of birth…
I’ve done henna art since I was a teenager (While I’ve since learned loads about henna’s indigenous history, I must confess that 1996 Madonna was my original inspo!). For awhile did body art at various local events.
This naturally evolved into pregnant belly-blessing art.
I have so many friends who are midwives (or midwives in training), doulas, childbirth educators, and birthkeepers – so we celebrate birth a lot. Once, I was asked to do belly henna for a dear friend’s daughter….and also ended up casting her belly and painting the finished cast in acrylics. I surprised myself with how lovely it turned out!
>> I am happy to work on bespoke projects for those who feel drawn to working with me! Just ask 🙂
Enjoy the spirit in which these pieces are offered, and celebrate birth!
